One of the four noble truths is the suffering which is inherent to living. The path we walk through has hardships, which may end up in pain. Only by facing and responding to such a pain in a mindfully way may we understand its nature, not only helping our hearts to let go, but achieving a greater understanding of the world and ourselves.
