When you are in a bad mood and feeling flat, the last thing you are feeling like is sex. But, what you are probably feeling like is sugar. Now, I am going to show you a beautifully sweet carrot, mint and pomegranate salad that won’t crash your blood sugar so you can get back to feeling like yourself. So, here we have a carrot, mint and pomegranate salad that’s going to help your body get back on track and get over that sugar craving. Pomegranate are really beautiful and sweet, they are like nature’s candy. And they pair beautifully with the mint and the apple and the naturally sweet carrot. Now, carrot salad, beautiful and crunchy, and honestly, this recipe is only going to take us a few minutes. So, grating carrot is just a really good time efficient way to get that carrot chopped down quickly. Now, I have got some that I have already done here. We are just going to pop this into the bowl. I love the sweetness of carrots. And carrots are rich in carotenes, so carotenes are a precursor to vitamin A, which is an essential fat that is important for brain function and help support healthy mood. So, healthy mood, you guys, is the key ingredient that we need to happen in our bodies so that we can feel in the mood for love. Now, we’ve got some apples here that are just finely sliced. So apples contain pectin. Pectin is really good for gut health. So just give that a little bit of a toss. And then we’ve got fresh mint. Now, mint is a beautiful herb and herbs are really important to have in a diet. You know, instead of eating boring leaves, add some mint, add some coriander and parsley and all these green fruits. What they do is, they actually enhance our satiety. So they create a lining in the stomach and this chemical reaction that actually help us keep full, so it’s actually quite amazing what green foods are doing. I am just going to add a little bit more. So I am just giving this a mix by hand. It’s literally five minutes to make this, you guys or under. Now, pomegranate seeds, these are really great for libido. The seeds of pomegranate are rich in antioxidants and like I said, these are going to give you that really nice feeling without giving you too much sugar. So, we want to kind of give ourselves the feeling like we are getting sugar without actually having it. okay. So, that’s so simple. Now, to dress the salad, just a little bit of regular extra virgin olive oil. I am pretty generous with my olive oil. Olive oil helps you absorb all these fat-soluble nutrients and vital nutrients from our vegetables. So, the worst thing we ever did was start eating low fat foods because then we miss out on all these beautiful nutrients, you guys. Plus, if we don’t fats, then it’s going to be really hard for us to feel full and we are going to keep on craving sugar. Just a little bit of lemon to give this nice zest. And a little bit of salt as well. So, salt is a source of sodium, obviously an essential nutrient. So I am just going to add a little bit of salt here. Now, salt is actually really important to have in a diet when you are eating natural real foods because most of our salt comes from processed foods. So, adding salt back into your food is essential; we need sodium. And there we have it: a beautiful carrot, mint and pomegranate salad that’s going to burst your stress and won’t crash your blood sugar.
