Its founders, David Life and Sharon Ganon decided to create a method based on the idea of achieving liberation through compassion towards all beings. The pillars of Jivamukti Yoga are: Ahimsa (a compassionate lifestyle towards all beings); Bhakti Yoga (devotional practice through mantra chanting); Dhyana (meditation); Nada (conscious listening); and Shastras (studies of the main yoga scriptures).
